was held May 3 at the university of the Ryukyus gymnasium on Okinawa. The event featured exhibits and activities of Ryukyuan and American boy scout from various cub packs, Scout troops and Explorer units. Here, boy scout officials are shown presenting a scout's photograph to Dr. Matsusuke Yonamine (third from R), president, University of the Ryukyus, as an expression of appreciation for his support to scouting. From L-to-R: Mr. Richard Weidman, assistant scout executive, Far East Council (FEC), Boy Scout of America (BSA); Jun Urasaki, 250th pack, Kadena, Ryukyu District; Mr. Choshin Kabira, Ryukyu Islands District commissioner; Robert Dill, 100th post, Naha, Okinawa District; Mr. Wasaburo Takeuchi, Ryukyu Islands District chairman; Dr. Yonamine and unidentified Ryukyuan scouts. The Ryukyu Islands District and the Okinawa District are part of the FEC, BSA.
【和訳】 琉米スカウト・オー・ラマ展示会が5月3日、琉球大学体育館で開催された。カブパックスカウト隊からエクスプローラーの各隊からの琉米ボーイスカウト隊達がいろいろな催し物を披露した。この写真はボーイスカウト役員がスカウト写真を琉大の与那嶺松助学長(右からの3番目)に贈呈感謝の意を表しているところ。左から、アメリカボーイスカウト極東連盟副主事リチャード・L・ウェイドマン氏、琉球地区嘉手納250隊浦崎淳さん、琉球地区コミッショナー川平朝申氏、沖縄地区那覇100隊ロバート・デイル、琉球地区委員長竹内和三郎氏、与那嶺学長及びその他。琉球地区と沖縄地区はアメリカボーイスカウト極東連盟の一部である。
