Students of the Trade and Vocational Institute are shown studying radio and television electrical wiring systems, being explained by Takehisa Miyagi (upper R, back to camera), an instructor in the radio and television course. The institute, located in Jichaku, Urasoe-Son, was built at a cost of $340,000 in U.S. funds and has $210,000 worth of equipment and furnishings. It was dedicated April 7, and presently offers one-year courses in radio and TV repair, cabinetmaking, and machine shop operations to 150 Ryukyuan junior high school graduates.
