GOVERNOR JOHN A. BURNS OF HAWAII (R) visited Chief Executive Seisaku Ota of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands (L) in his office at the Executive Building, Naha, on June 14 during a series of calls on U.S. and Ryukyuan leaders on Okinawa. In center is Dr. Shannon McCune (C), civil administrator of the Ryukyu Islands. Governor Burns and Mrs. Burns arrived on June 13 from Tokyo and departed on June 14 for Tokyo en route home. ≪ジョン A バーンズ ハワイ州知事は訪沖中、沖縄の軍民指導者の公式訪問を行ったが、6月14日には那覇市の琉球政府行政ビルに大田政作行政主席を訪問した。シャノン マキューン民政官（中央）が両政治家を紹介した。≫
GOVERNOR JOHN A. BURNS OF HAWAII, accompanied by Mrs. Burns; Mr. Daniel T. Aoki, his administrative aide; and, Hawaii State Representative Toshio Serizawa, visited Okinawa on June 13 and 14 during the governor's tour of the Far East on behalf of promotion of tourism and commerce to Hawaii and the mainland United States. On Okinawa, the Governor made courtesy calls on leading U.S. and Ryukyuan officials, and met with local business and civil leaders and groups, and with United States Army, Air Force, Marine and Navy military and civilian personnel from Hawaii stationed on Okinawa. The Governor was honored at social affairs hosted by High Commissioner Paul W.
