ASSISTANCE FOR RYUKYUAN NURSES --.Mrs. Frances R. Hegglund (center, top) assistant professor, College of Nursing, University of Hawaii, discussed curriculum planning, procedural consideration and evaluation approaches with Okinawa nursing schools' personnel and public health nurses at the Public Health and Welfare Dept. (PH&W), USCAR on Aug. 24, 1965. During her nine days' stay on Okinawa at the invitation of USCAR, Mrs. Hegglund also discussed nursing education and administration with directors and staff members of health centers, hospitals and nursing schools. 【和訳】琉球の看護師への支援 - 1965年8月24日、ハワイ大学看護学部フランシス・R・ヘグルンド教授（中央上）は米国民政府公衆衛生福祉局で、沖縄の看護学校関係者や公衆衛生看護婦らとカリキュラムの計画や手続きの検討、評価方法について議論した。米国民政府の招待で沖縄に9日間滞在したヘグルンド夫人は、保健所、病院、看護学校の責任者および職員らと看護教育や管理運営について話し合った。左から米国民政府公衆衛生福祉局フランク・F・ノムラ氏、那覇看護学校長照屋寛善、米国民政府公衆衛生福祉局看護顧問エラ・フェアフィールド、琉球政府厚生局医務課看護係長眞玉橋ノブ。
