Men of the U.S. Army, 9th Logistical Command had an excuse Monday, Apr. 17, for playing hookey and going to the circus - they were escorting 160 deaf and mute pupils from the Morogakko in Shuri. The men of the 9th Logistical Command have adopted the school for blind, deaf and mute as part of their "people-to-people" program. In another phase of their program, they will take the kids on an outing to Imubu Beach on May 17. Watching the circus acts - as intently as the kids in the background - are (l to r): SFC Ben Lawson, Sp5 George W. Bennett, Sp5 Daniel A. Cross, Sp5 Davis E. Fowler, Sp5 William Forshage and SSgt William J. Stumpe.
