Robert A. Fearey speaks at the 3rd All-Okinawa Management Congress held Oct. 25 at the Harborview Club in Naha. Minister Fearey said, "Your theme for this Congress, 'Progress Through Creativity' is well chosen, Imaginative creativity is the key to success in the fast developing, highly competitive world in which we live. A creative attitude and approach is necessary to forward-looking, sound business judgment in the development of new industrial and commercial enterprises. It is also essential to efficient and profitable management and business operational techniques." He emphasized that Ryukyuan economic policies should be imaginative and bold, business leaders and citizens should seek urgently for means of keeping tomorrow's leaders and workers on Okinawa, Ryukyuan businessmen should carefully examine the advantages of automatic data processing, and programs to enhance pride of workmanship and achievement in the Ryukyuan people.
【和訳】 那覇ハーバービュークラブで10月25日催された第三回全沖縄経営者大会で講演するロバート・A・フィアリー民政官。フィアリー民政官は、「今回の大会のテーマである[創造性を通じた進歩]はよく選ばれたテーマであり、想像力に富んだ創造性こそが、私たちが生きている急速に発展し、競争の激しい世界で成功を収める鍵です。創造的な態度とアプローチは、新しい産業および商業企業の開発における前向きで健全なビジネス判断に必要です。また、効率的で収益性の高い経営や事業運営技術にも不可欠だ」と述べた。琉球経済政策は想像力豊かで大胆なものでなければならない、ビジネスリーダーと市民は明日のリーダーと労働者を沖縄に留める手段を緊急に模索すべきである、琉球人実業家は自動データ処理の利点を慎重に検討すべきである、琉球人の仕事ぶりや業績への誇りを高めるための事業を検討すべきである、と強調した。
