Second place went to Ohori Senior High School, Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan, 2:13:25. Third place was captured by the Jitsugyo Senior High School, Kagoshima, Japan, with a time of 2:13:28. Fourth place winner was Tokiwa Senior High School, Fukuoka, Japan, 2:15:7. Fifth slot was nailed down by the Chukyo Shogyo Senior High School of Aichi Prefecture, Japan, with a time of 2:15:19. The remaining two Japanese entries took the sixth and seventh places.
