TESTS FOR NEDICAL TRAINING IN U.S. -- A group of 11 Ryukyuan and one U.S. national physicians is shown taking examinations for non-American physicians who desire to receive postgraduate medical speciality training in medical facilities in the United States. The examinations were held in the USCAR conference room on Sept. 15. Those who pass the examinations may apply to one or more training hospitals in the United States for placement and training in the medical speciality of their choice. If they are accepted, the successful graduates are provided an adequate salary while receiving the training in the United States -- the training normally ranging from three to five years. ≪米国での医学研修のための試験 -- 写真は沖縄の医者11人と米国籍の医者1人が、米国の病院で専門医学研修を受けたいと希望する外人医者のための試験を受けているところ。試験は9月15日、民生府会議室で行われた。この試験の合格者は、それぞれの専門分野の研修を受けるために、米国の研修病院一ヶ所、もしくはそれ以上の病院に申し込むことが出来る。もし、合格者の申し込みが認められれば、通常3年ないし5年間、十分な給料をもらいながら、米国で医学研修を受けることになる。≫
