LETTERS OF APPRECIATION -- John E. Mathis (6th from L), contract administrator, University of Hawaii (U-H) Advisory Group at the Okinawa Central Hospital (OCH), presents a letter of appreciation to Kyoshi Kinjo, carpenter, U-H Advisory Group. Letters of appreciation were presented to all Ryukyuan employees working with the advisory group at a luncheon meeting held at the Castle Terrace Club, Camp Kue, June 22. They are (L-R) Mrs. Shizu Kyan, janitress; Mrs. Yoshiko Kaneshi, treasurer; Miss Yoko Tokorodani (partly shown) physiotherapist; Mrs. Yoshiko Kanna, assistant physiotherapist; Mrs. Junko Kuniyoshi, laboratory technician; Mrs. Yoshiko Ishimine, librarian; Mrs. Yoko Irei, language aide; Hirofumi Sueyoshi (partly shown), Language aide; and Kyotaka Hanashiro (not shown), driver. At right is Dr. Masao Maeshiro, acting director of the advisory group. The U-H advisory group, in cooperation with the OCH, has conducted a postgraduate medical training program since April 1967 under a contract with the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus. ≪中部病院におけるハワイ大学顧問団のジョン・E・マーシス契約行政官（左から6番目）は6月22日、キャンプ桑江在キャステラス・クラブで催された昼食会の席上、同顧問団事務所に勤めている沖縄の全職員に感謝状を贈った。感謝状が贈られたのは（左から）喜屋武シズ子さん、兼次ヨシ子さん、所谷洋子さん、漢那佳子さん、金城清さん、国吉順子さん、伊志嶺美子さん、伊礼洋子さん、末吉洋文さん、及び花城清隆さん（撮っていない）。右側はハワイ大学顧問団副団長の真栄城優夫医師。なお、同顧問団は1967年以来、米国民政府との契約にもとづき、中部病院で医学研修計画を行っている。≫
