LECTURE - Mrs. Carolyn Watanabe, health educator, Hawaii TB Association, lectures on health education techniques to about 20 Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI) health personnel at the Ishikawa Health Center, Okinawa, on Jan. 26. Facing camera are Hiroshi Minami (L), executive director, Hawaii Health and Community Agencies Council, and Miss Marion Akamine (2nd from L), health educator, Hawaii Department of Health. The specialists are holding lectures and discussions concerning public health education and administration and community organization for approximately 200 Ryukyuan public health nurses, sanitary engineers, nurse-teachers and other public health personnel. The Hawaiians' three-week visit is sponsored by the East-West Center of Honolulu and local arrangements were coordinated by the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus and the GRI. ≪講演 - 写真はカロリン・ワタナベ・ハワイ結核予防協会保健教育官が、1月26日、石川保健所で約20人の琉球政府保健関係者に保健教育の技術について講演を行っているところ。向って左から、ヒロシ・ミナミ ハワイ地域保健審議会事務局長とマリアン・アカミネ ハワイ州保健局保健教育官。同公衆衛生専門官等は1月4日に来沖し、沖縄の公看、衛生係官、養護教諭、その他公衆衛生関係者約200人を対象として公衆衛生行政と教育および地域社会の組織化について講演や討論を行っている。一行の来島はホノルル在東西文化センターの計画によるもので、米国民政府および琉球政府の協力を得て実現されたものである。≫
