Thirty-seven Koza Nursing School senior students are attending a 16-hour observation and training course in eye, ear, nose and throat (EENT) treatments at the U.S. Army Hospital (USAH) at Camp Kue, Okinawa. The training was arranged by the USAH in response to a request from the nursing school through the Health, Education and Welfare Dept., U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus. Presently, the Government of the Ryukyu Islands' hospitals are not equipped to provide EENT training, a requirement for the graduation of nursing students. The students are to graduate in March. They are receiving the training under the supervision of Dr. (Maj.) David J. Chizek and Dr. (Capt.) Vernon M. Hermsen, ophthalmologists, and Dr. (Maj.) Henry B.
