DISCUSSION -- Two University of Hawaii (U-H) officials are visiting Okinawa to discuss possibility of continuation of the postgraduate medical education program at the Okinawa Central Hospital (OCH) with officials of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI). The discussion was held in the GRI Welfare Department on Feb. 23. Discussion are (L-R) Richard S. Takasaki, vice-president, U-H, Dr. Fumio Yamakawa, director, GRI Welfare Dept., Dr. Neal I. Gault, associate dean, College of Medicine, U-H, and Steven S. Chinen, associate specialist in medical technology, U-H Advisory Group at the OCH. Dr. Gault served as medical director of the advisory group from July 1967 to June 1969. President Takasaki arrived on Okinawa on Feb. 22, and Dr. Gault, on Feb. 17. Both are leaving Okinawa on Feb. 24. 【和訳】協議 - 中部病院での医学再教育計画継続の可能性について琉球政府関係者と話し合うため、ハワイ大学関係者2名が来沖した。協議は琉球政府厚生局で2月23日に行われた。左からハワイ大学リチャード・S・タカサキ副学長、琉球政府厚生局山川文雄医師、ハワイ大学医学部ニール・I・ゴールト副学部長、中部病院ハワイ大学顧問団スティーブン・S・チネン臨床検査技師補。ゴールト博士は1967年7月から1969年6月まで顧問団の団長を務めた。タカサキ副学長は2月22日に、ゴールト博士は2月17日に来沖した。両者とも2月24日に沖縄を離れる。
