WORKSHOP -- Visiting American tuberculosis control team conducted a workshop for Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI) public health officials at the Ishikawa Health Center June 12. The team is comprised of Miss Edith Anderson (left corner), dean, School of Nursing, University of Hawaii; Mrs. Sally S. Faustino (L of Miss Anderson), program director, Institute for Technical Interchange (ITI), East West Center; and Dr. Maurice Brodsky (R of Miss Anderson), administrator, and Mrs. Gladys Kuwahara (right corner), head nurse, both of the Leahi Hospital, Honolulu. The team is conducting workshops at GRI health centers and other medical institutions on new developments in medical treatment and nursing procedures, including case-finding, contact follow-ups, home care, and health education programs. The 10-day training program is sponsored by ITI in cooperation with USCAR and GRI. ≪研究会--ハワイから来島している結核予防班が、6月12日、石川保健所で琉球政府の公衆衛生関係者のための研究会を催した。来島しているのは、ハワイ大学のエディス・アンダーソン看護学部々長（左前方）、東西文化センター技術交流研究所のサリー・S・ファスティ計画担当官（アンダーソン女史の左側）、リーヒー病院のモーリス・ブロドスキー院長（アンダーソン女史の右側）、および病院のグラディス・タワハラ看護婦長（右）、一行は10日間沖縄に滞在し、保健所、その他医療施設で結核患者の発見、病後調査、家宅治療、保健教育等を含めた新しい治療や看護法に関する研究会を催している。この研修計画は米国民政府、琉球政府の協力を得て東西文化センターの主催によるものである。≫
