CONGRATULATES OKINAWA MIDWIVES ASSN. ON 20TH ANNIVERSARY -- Dr. (Col.) Robert T. Jensen (L), director of the Health, Education and Welfare Dept. (HEW), U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus, delivers a congratulatory speech at a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Okinawa Midwives Association. Interpreting is Yoshitaka Kakazu, AID program specialist of the HEW. The ceremony, held at the Orion Kaikan Hall at Asato, Naha, was attended by some 200 midwives and medical persons including Dr. Fumio Yamakawa, director, Welfare Dept., Government of the Ryukyu Islands; Dr. Kanzen Teruya, director, Naha Nursing School; and Dr. Zenshi Inafuku, president, Okinawa Medical Association. ≪写真は沖縄助産婦協会の20周年記念式典で祝辞を述べている米国民政府厚生教育局のロバート・T・ジェンスン局長。右側は同局の嘉数能隆氏。この式典は4月25日、那覇市内のオリオン会館で催され、琉球政府厚生局の山川文雄局長、那覇看護学校の照屋寛善校長、沖縄医師会の稲福全志会長等約200人の助産婦や医療関係者が出席した。≫
