MAN MADE BREEDING PLACE FOR Mosquito LARVAE --Dr. Duane A. Sebahar (L), chief, Public Health Branch of the Health, Education ,and Welfare Dept., U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus, and Major Ronald W. Intermill (R), entomologist, U.S. Army Medical Center, are shown pointing out breeding of mosquito larvae in a water pot in Henza Island, Yashiro-Son on July 26. Village Chief Tokuichi Tamae (C) looks on. The survey , was made at the request of the village chief for assistance in eradicating mosquitos and flies. He submitted the request to High Commissioner F. T. Unger when the latter visited the island July· 25 as part of his continuing fact-gathering and get-acquainted program to improve the welfare and well-being of the people in rural communities of the Ryukyus. ≪ぼうぶら[ぼうふら?]の棲息場所 - 写真は米国民政府厚生教育局公衆衛生課長デューアン・A・セバハ軍医（左）と米陸軍医療センターの昆虫学者ロナルド・W・インターミル少佐（右）が7月26日与那城村平安座島でぼうぶら[ぼうふら?]が棲息しやすい水ためを指摘しているところ。後方中央は玉栄徳市区長。玉栄徳市区長は去る7月25日にアンガー高等弁務官が沖縄のへき地住民の福祉安寧の増進を図るため現地事情視察計画の一環として同島を訪問した際にカとハエの駆除について高等弁務官の協力を要請したが今回の調査はそれに答えて行われたものである。≫
