COURTESY CALL -- A group of 14 Ryukyuan senior sanitarians called on Col. John P. Fairchild (6th from L), director, Health, Education and Welfare Dept., U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus (USCAR), June 28, before departing for Hawaii to participate in a 19-day training program, sponsored by the Institute for Technical Interchange, East-West Center, Honolulu, and USCAR. The sanitarians will study sanitation, health education, sanitation law enforcement and rodent control measures, as well as the administration and practices of water supply, waste water and solid waste disposal.
