LECTURE -- Sister Maureen (left, facing camera), hospital administrator, St. Francis Hospital, Honolulu, is shown lecturing on "Nursing Administration" before some 100 Ryukyuan nurses at the Naha Hospital, Yogi, June 12. Sister Maureen is one of four Hawaiian nurses who are visiting Okinawa to exchange information and ideas with Ryukyuan nurses under the technical interchange program sponsored by the Institute for Technical Interchange (ITI), East-West Center, Honolulu, and the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus with the cooperation of the Government of the Ryukyus. Others in the group also lectured at the hospital. The lecturers were Mrs. Harriet S. Tonaki, director of nursing; Mrs. Hatsuyo Yamashita, head nurse, both of the Kuakini Hospital, Honolulu; and Mrs. Sally Faustino, project officer for clinical and hospital nursing, ITI. 【和訳】講演 - 与儀の那覇病院で6月12日、琉球の看護婦約100人を前に「看護管理」について講義するホノルルの聖フランシス病院の病院管理官シスター・モーリーン(向かって左)。 シスター・モーリーンは琉球政府の協力でホノルルの東西センター技術交流研究所と米国民政府が主催する技術交流計画に基づき、琉球の看護婦との情報と意見交換のために来沖した4人のハワイ人看護婦のうちのひとり。≪三名も那覇病院でそれぞれの専門部門のテーマで講演した。三名の講師はホノルル在クアキニ病院の看護婦部長ハリエット・S・トナキ夫人と看護婦主任ハツヨ山下夫人それに同技術交流研究所の臨床看護及び病院看護担当官サリー・ホウスチノ夫人であった。≫
