BRIEFING - Bunsho Gima (C), director, Welfare Dept. , Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI) is shown pointing out to Dr. Francisco J. Dy (R), director, Regional Office for the Western Pacific, World Health Organization (WHO), the location of the Miyako and Yaeyama islands where successful filariasis eradication programs are being carried out through joint efforts of the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus, GRI, and the Government of Japan.
