Major Rodger P. Hargraves (L), clinical laboratory officer of the Pathology Service, U.S. Army Medical Center in Camp Kue, Okinawa, explains how to test alkaline phosphatase (blood chemistry) to Ryoichi Kakazu, one of the two laboratory technicians of the Okinawa Central Hospital, training at the center since Jan. 22. The technicians are receiving four months of training at the Army Hospital under the supervision of Major Hargraves.
