DINNER FOR 32 AIRAKU-EN PATIENTS -- including 29 children, was sponsored at the Harbor View Club by the USCAR Women's Club, Nov. 14. After the dinner, the patients participated in a demonstration on the diagnosis and treatment procedures used on Hansen's Disease. The demonstration was conducted at the Okinawa Medical Association building in Naha by U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) doctors Merlin L. Brubaker and Robert Hastings of the PHS Hospital in Carville, La., who came to Okinawa Nov. 12 at the invitation of the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands (USCAR) in connection with the Third Annual Ryukyuan Anti-Hansen's Disease Week.
