写真解説：
CONSTRUCTION OF HEALTH CENTERS in the Ryukyus are constructed with large contributions of United States aid. The health center shown here is the Motobu Health Center. An even newer health center is now being erected at Ishikawa, the total cost ($75,000) of which is being born by the United States. Now one-third completed, the Ishikawa Health Center will provide facilities for a population of from 60-75,000 people. It is yet another link in the public health chain which will guard the health and well-being of the people of the Ryukyus.

【和訳】本部保健所開所式
琉球の保健所の建設は、米国の援助による多額の寄付金で行われている。写真は本部保健所。また、さらに新しい保健所が現在石川に建設中で、総費用（75,000ドル）は米国が負担している。現在3分の1が完成している石川保健所は対応人口6万人から7万5千人の施設の提供であるが、琉球の人々の健康と幸福を守る公衆衛生の輪をつくる、もうひとつの結び目となる。
