Soko Kinjo, International Relations Officer of the Miyako Civil Affairs Team (MCAT) of the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyus (USCAR) for the last nine years, was presented the High Commissioner's Certificate of Achievement at the MCAT Compound on Jan. 31. The High Commissioner commended Mr. Kinjo for his long and dedicated service at Miyako and for the significant role he played in providing the link between the U.S. Government and the people of Miyako. M.J. Larsen, Executive Assistant, USCAR, at left, representing High Commissioner James B. Lampert and Civil Administrator Robert A. Fearey, presented the certificate in the presence of 150 officials, businessmen and leading citizens of Miyako as well as several USCAR officials.
【和訳】 9年間の勤務に対して、高等弁務官からの賞状が1月31日、宮古民政官府でランパート高等弁務官およびフィアリー民政官に代りM・J・ラーセン行政補佐官(米民政府)から宮古民政官府の金城壮光渉外官に手渡された。米民政府と宮古住民を結ぶ重要な役割を長期間、誠実に果した同氏に対して高等弁務官から贈られたもの。贈呈式には、宮古の実業人および関係者、米民政府関係者約150名が出席した。
