SEA PARK, located near Nago City in northwestern Okinawa, was recently completed at a total cost $2 million by the Okinawa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC). OTDC President Shutei Tonaki, Chief Executive Chobyo Yara of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI), and Kotaro Kokuba, president, Ryukyu Chamber of Commerce and Industry,declared the park opened on 2 August. The undersea observation tower, 24 feet below the surface of the water, is a major attraction of the park. The tower, which has 24 observation windows, connects with land by a 1,000-foot-long bridge.

沖縄北西部の名護市近くに、沖縄観光開発事業団が総工費200万ドルをかけて建設した海中公園が完成した。8月2日の落成式に出席する沖縄観光開発事業団渡名喜守定理事長、琉球政府屋良朝苗行政主席、琉球商工会議所國場幸太郎会頭。水深24フィートの海中展望タワーは公園の目玉施設。24個の展望窓を持つタワーは、1,000フィートの橋で陸地と結ばれている。
