U.S. -Ryukyuan cooperation successfully accomplished the difficult task of Placing 72 locally- produced concrete fish shelters, weighing a total of 129,600 lbs., in an area 600 meters off the shore of Toya Village in Yomitan-Son, central Okinawa. The project was conducted by the combined efforts of the Torii Station - Yomitan-Son area Community Relations Committee, the Toya Village Fishing cooperative, the U.S. Army Transportation Terminal Command, and the Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI) Bureau of Fisheries. Discussing transportation procedures at the at the village shore on Mar. 25 are (L-R): Ryowa Uchima, chief, Fishery Products Section, Bureau of Fisheries, GRI; Sgt. Patrick McClendon, landing craft master, 384th Tugboat Detachment, U.S. Army Terminal Command; Lt. Col. Harold E.
