An agricultural study group from the Mariana Islands calls on Edgar E. Hoppe, acting director, Economic Department, U.S. Civil Administration (USCAR). The Marianas group arrived on Okinawa on Sept. 9 to observe the production of vegetables, sugar, pineapple and fruits, the raising of cattle, hogs and chickens, and operations of agricultural experimental stations and marketing of farm products. The two-week study tour was arranged by the Office of the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands and USCAR in coordination with the Government of the Ryukyu Islands. The group consists of Bernardo C. Guerrero, Saipan; Gregorio C. Cabrera, Saipan; Juan A. Guerrero, Saipan; Francisco B. Tudela, Saipan; Jesus Matsumoto, Tinian; Vincento M. Manglona, Tinian; Francisco M. Diaz, Saipan; and Antonio C. Atalig, Rota.

写真は9月9日、マリアナ群島から来島した農業視察団が、米国民政府経済局のエドガー・E・ホピイ局長代理を表敬訪問しているところ。同視察団は2週間に亘り沖縄の蔬菜、砂糖キビ、パイナップル、果樹の栽培、養豚、養鶏、牛の飼育、農業試験場の運営、農産物の販売等に就いて視察する。一行の沖縄視察計画は、太平洋信託領高等弁務官府と民政府の共催、琉球政府の後援で実施されている。来島した一行の顔ぶれは、ベルナード・O・グエレロ(サイパン島)、ジュアン・A・ゲレロ(サイパン島)、フランシスコ・B・トデラ(サイパン島)、ジェーサス・松本(テニアン島)、ビンセント・M・アングロナ(テニアン島)、フランシスコ・M・デアズ(サイパン島)、アントニオ・C・アタリグ(ロタ島)の8名である。
