A masquerade parade led by U.S. Army, Marine and Air Force bands and including open cars carrying Koza Mayor Chojo Oyama and other Ryukyuan and American officials, was witnessed by 50,000 spectators. Participants in the parade included cowboys riding horses, drum and bugle bands from Okinawan elementary schools, and a rifle drill team of Ryukyuan Security Guards from Kadena Air Base. Beside the parade, the festival featured a children's friendship program, a store beautification contest, a "kachashi" traditional Ryukyuan dance contest, a fireworks display, and other events.

米軍、海兵隊、空軍の楽隊が率いる仮面パレードでは大山朝常コザ市長や琉球人、米将校を乗せたオープンカーなどが5万人の観客を魅了した。パレードには、馬に乗るカウボーイ、沖縄の小学校からのドラムやビューグル隊、嘉手納基地の琉球警備隊のライフル訓練チームが参加した。パレードのほか、子ども向けの親善プログラムとしてお店の美化コンテスト、琉球の伝統的な踊りの「カチャーシー」、花火大会などが行われた。
