Viewing the stamp collection at the 1969 Ryukyus Philatelic Exhibit (RIPEX '69) at the Naha Ryukyuan-American Cultural Center April 19, are, left to right, Harold D. Peterson, President of the Ryukyu Philatelic Society (RPS); Kei Kakinohana, chief, Administration Office, Postal Services Agency; Genei Kikuyama, director, Naha Ryukyuan-American Cultural Center; Seigi Oyama, vice-president of RPS; C. H. Chen, Central Trust of China, Ryukyu Office; Noboru Omine, president of the Ryukyu Philatelic Club; and Chosei Ashitomi, chief, Philatelic Section, Postal Services Agency. Collections on the upper board at left are postcards of the Meiji and Taisho eras and all Ryukyuan stamps issued during the Taisho era (below) by Nobuo Maehara, employee of Naha Central Post Office. The three-panel collection at right shows "sports" stamps collected by Sasuke Sunakawa, of the Postal Services Agency. The Meiji period covered the years 1868 to 1912, and the Taisho period was from 1912 to 1926.

那覇琉米文化会館で4月19日、1969年度琉球切手展で切手コレクションを眺める (左から) 琉球切手収集協会ハロルド・D・ピーターソン会長、郵政事業庁管理事務所長カキノハナ・ケイ氏、那覇琉米文化会館館長喜久山源栄氏、琉球切手収集協会オオヤマ・セイギ副会長、中国中央信託琉球事務所C・H・チェン氏、琉球切手収集協会オオミネ・ノボル会長、郵政事業庁切手課長アシトミ・チョウセイ氏。ボード左上のコレクションは、明治、大正時代のはがき、大正時代に発行された琉球切手コレクションは那覇中央郵便局職員マエハラ・ノブオ氏によるもの。右の3枚のパネルに展示されている「スポーツ」関連切手は、郵政事業庁のスナカワ・サスケ氏によるコレクション。明治時代は1868年から1912年まで、大正時代は1912年から1926年までの期間となる。
