Fort Buckner Women's Club (FBWC) will provide $13,500 for the purchase of the van, which is also equipped with an X-ray unit. It will be presented to the Ryukyu Anti-Tuberculosis Association in the presentation to be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 14. Attending the presentation will be Mrs. F. T. Unger, honorary president, Mrs. Vernon Loesing, president, Mrs. Baskin, and other representatives of the club; Jugo Thoma, president, Dr. Zenshi Inafuku, vice-president, and Chobin Kabira, executive director, of the association and Nagamasa Omine, president, Nikko Shoji Co., Naha, who ordered the van from the Toshiba Nucleonics Col., Tokyo which installed the X-ray unit. The van was built by the Hino Co., Tokyo. The club provided $3,000 to assist in the purchase of the X-ray machine which costs $4,500 and is already in use by the association.

フォートバックナー婦人クラブは11月14日午後3時から琉球結核予防会事務所で行われる贈呈式でこの車の購入費全額1万3,500ドルを贈ることになっている。この贈呈式に出席するのはフォートバックナー婦人クラブのF. T. アンガー夫人(名誉会長)、バーノン・ローシング夫人(会長)、バスキン夫人、琉球結核予防会の当間重剛会長、稲福全志副会長、川平朝伸事務局長、及び日光商事の大嶺永昌社長等である。同検診車は那覇市内の日光商事が東芝放射線株式会社に発注したもので、日野株式会社が製作し、東芝放射線株式会社がレントゲン器具の取り付けに当たった。なお、同婦人クラブはもう一つのレントゲン器具(4,500ドル)の購入として3,000ドルを琉球結核予防会に寄付した。このレントゲン器具は去年7月から検診に使われているが、14日行われる贈呈式で正式に譲渡される。
