Lady Choko McConnell, welfare chairman, Okinawa Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Club, is shown presenting a check for $303.20 to Dr. Genshine Oyadomari, deputy director, Okinawa Crippled Children's Hospital, last Saturday, May 20. Two children holding the check are (L-R): ■■■ and ■■■, both patients of the hospital. Other ladies watching the presentation are (L-R): Lady Vera Towlks, Lady Toshiko Wold, and Lady Shizue Ikeda. Since 1962 the club has provided the crippled children with a game center, beds, wheel-chairs, and other equipment. The club has also invited the children to picnics and Christmas and parties. The money will be used for hospitalization and treatment of the patients.
【和訳】 ロスナ婦人クラブから沖縄整肢療護園へ寄付
5月20日に沖縄ロスナ婦人クラブ福祉委員長チョウコ・マコーネル夫人が沖縄整肢療護園の親泊元信副園長に303.20ドルの小切手を贈呈した。小切手を受け取る入院中の2人の子供たち。見守るのは (左から) ベラ・トルクス氏、トシコ・ウォルド氏、イケダ・シズエ氏。1962年以来、ロスナ婦人クラブはゲーム道具、ベッド、車椅子、その他を体が不自由な子ども達に寄贈していて、ピクニックやクリスマスパーティーに招待している。小切手は患者の入院や治療に使われる予定。
