Representatives of the U.S. Naval Officers Wives Club visited the Koza Reformatory on Oct. 28 to donate $50 worth of sewing and knitting materials for use in the reformatory's rehabilitation program. Shown are (L-R) Mr. Keizo Tomoyose, director of the reformatory; Mr. Ryojun Kugai, director of the Legal Affairs Dept., Government of the Ryukyu Islands; Mrs. U.M. Kimmick, welfare chairman of the club; and Mrs, A. Schlofman, president of the club. The funds to procure these materials were from proceeds from the operation of a gift shop at White Beach which was opened for business in May of this year.

少年院の社会復帰プログラムの中で使用する裁縫に必要な素材50ドル相当を寄贈するために、米海軍士官婦人クラブの担当者が10月28日に琉球少年院を訪問した。左から、友寄ケイゾウ氏(琉球少年院長)、久貝良順氏(琉球政府法務局長)、U・M・キミック夫人(同クラブの福祉委員長)及びA・ シュロフマン(同クラブ会長)。これらの素材の調達に必要な資金は今年の5月に開業したホワイトビーチのギフトショップの収益から得られた。
