The Fort Buckner Women's Club presented a check to five students of the Ginoza Senior High School in northern Okinawa on June 23. Each student will receive $20 during the period from June, 1963 through March, 1964 to pay their school fees, books and supplies. The presentation of funds was recommended and arranged by the Education Dept. and Public Health and Welfare Dept. (PH&W), Office of the High Commissioner. Prior to the presentation, the Women's Club also gave money to a total of 13 students of the Southern Agricultural Senior High School and Oroku Senior High School in early June. Mrs. Herbert F. Decker, Jr. (L), welfare chairman, presented the money or behalf of the Women's Club to Kuniaki Matsuda (second from L), teacher at Ginoza Senior High School. Observing are the five students (front row) and Harold Robinson (L, back row), educationists, Education Dept., and Maj. Edgar Unthank (R, back row), welfare officer, PH&W.

フォートバックナー婦人クラブは6月23日、沖縄県北部の宜野座高等学校の生徒5名に小切手を贈った。各学生は1963年6月から1964年3月までの期間、学費、書籍、物資を支払う為の20ドルを受け取る予定。資金の提供は、教育部と公衆衛生福祉部、高等弁務官室が推薦し手配した。発表に先立ち、婦人クラブは6月上旬に南部農林高等学校と小禄高等学校の生徒13名に資金を贈った。ハーバート・F・デッカー・ジュニア(左)福祉委員長は、宜野座高等学校のマツダ・クニアキ教諭(左から2番目)に、婦人クラブの代表として資金を贈った。見届けるのは、5人の学生(最前列)とハロルド・ロビンソン(左、後列)、エドガー・アンサン少佐(教育部教育学者)(右、後列)、公衆衛生福祉部の福祉役員。
