Civil Administrator of the Ryukyu Islands (USCAR) - at a "welcome home" luncheon at the Harborview Club in Naha Jan. 24. Dr. McCune, research professor of geography at the University of Vermont, is visiting Okinawa for two weeks to conduct research on Ryukyuan economic geography in cooperation with the staffs of the University of the Ryukyus and the Michigan state University Group. Dr. and Mrs. McCune have visited Korea and Japan and will go to Taiwan and the Philippines after leaving Okinawa. Shown L-R, are: Col. Hugh F.
