Civil Administrator Gerald Warner (L) is shown meeting with Dr. Y. Baron Goto, vice-chancellor, East-West Center (EWC) of Honolulu, No. 18. During his stay on Okinawa, Dr. Goto met with former EWC program participants and discussed future EWC programs with USCAR staff members. The EWC was established in 1960 by the U.S. Congress in cooperation with the University of Hawaii. It offers both student scholarship and technical training programs for young Asian people.
