Brig. Gen. George K. Kuhn (3rd from L) is shown Oct. 4 meeting with old friends in the Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI), at the U.S. Administration of the Ryukyu Islands (USCAR) briefing room, Executive Bldg., Naha. A former veterinary-livestock consultant to USCAR, Gen. Kuhn visited the GRI Animal Health Research Institute and Animal Quarantine Station as well as commercial livestock and meat processing firms, and also discussed the progress of the industry with officials of the USCAR Public Health and Welfare Department and the GRI Agriculture and Forestry Dept. Gen. Kuhn departed Okinawa Oct. 5.
