Civil Administrator Stanley S. Carpenter designated Teruo Teruya as president of the Ryukyu Development Loan Corporation (RDLC), effective May 5, 1968, at a brief ceremony held April 19 at the Civil Administration building. Mr. Teruya will replace Nobuo Takaramura who has resigned to join the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank in Washington, D. C. Mr. Teruya, formerly RDLC research department director, researcher and loan investigator between 1960 to 1965, has been vice-president of the Ryukyu Domestic Water Corporation since August 1965 where he has played a key role in the accomplishment of RDWC's $25 million water development program for Okinawa, and the planning for $20 million in future water projects. Mr. Teruya was born Aug. 28, 1929 in Aza-Kamisato, Haebaru-Son, Okinawa. He received a B. A. degree in economics in 1958 at Occidental College at Los Angeles, Calif.

スタンリー・S・カーペンター民政官は4月19日の式典で、琉球開発金融公社の総裁に照屋輝男氏を1968年5月5日付で任命した。照屋氏は、米国ワシントンD.C.の世界銀行国際金融公社へ栄転した宝村氏の後任。1960年から1965年にかけて琉球開発金融公社の調査局長、研究員、融資調査員として勤め、1965年8月から琉球水道公社副総裁として琉球開発金融公社の25,000,000ドル配水計画達成に重要な役割を果たし、将来に向けた20,000,000ドルのプロジェクトに取り組んでいる。照屋氏は1929年8月28日南風原村字神里生まれ。1958年にカリフォルニア州ロスアンゼルスのオクシデンタル・カレッジで経済学学士号を取得した。
