Members of the Cultural Intellectual Society (CIS) visited Civil Administrator Stanley S. Carpenter (2nd from L) Jan. 19 at his office and sold a ticket to a "Pop Concert" to be held at the Sukiran Stilwell Field House at 2 p.m., Fed. 3. The concert will feature Japanese, Philippine and American songs and dances. The CIS, consisting of some 200 Ryukyuan American high school students who study the culture and customs of both countries, will sponsor the musical show to raise funds for its study programs. 文化知的研究会(CIS)のメンバーは、1月19日、スタンリー・S・カーペンター民政官(左から2番目)を訪問し、午後2時から瑞慶覧スティルウェル・フィールドハウスで開催される「ポップコンサート」のチケットを販売した。コンサートでは、日本、フィリピン、アメリカの歌と踊りが披露される。CISは、両国の文化や習慣を学ぶ約200人の琉球人とアメリカ人高校生で構成されており、この音楽会を主催して学習計画の資金調達を行う。写真は、左から、アレン・K・ムカイダさん、キャシー・グラハムさん、メアリー・ブラウンさんの3人。
