The reception was held on June 12 at the Castle Terrace Club. Minister Fearey read a message from High commissioner James B. Lampert, which said, "In the record of inspired leadership of your national heroes, and in your progress today under your distinguished President, Ferdinand E. Marcos, the Philippines stands as one of the major free Asian nations... I know that our two nations will work together in the years to come for peace, prosperity and world progress."
