HAWAII FRIENDSHIP MISSION, composed of four Americans of Okinawan ancestry, is visiting Okinawa for a 10-day tour under the U.S. Army's Ryukyu-Hawaii friendship mission exchange program. The annual program is sponsored by Headquarters, U.S. Army, Pacific with the cooperation of the U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyu (USCAR) to further mutual understanding and friendship between Hawaii and the Ryukyus. The members of the mission are Tokuichi Takkushi, clerk, Hawaii State Senate property and supplies; Masato Kamisato, executive vice president, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce; Kanho Yonahara, former president, Kauai Okinawan Association; and Mrs, Tsuruko Ohye, teacher, Maunawili Elementary School, Kailua, Oahu. During their stay in Okinawa, the group will meet High Commissioner James B. Lampert, Civil Administrator Robert A. Fearey, Chief Executive Chobyo Yara, Legislature Speaker Katsu Hoshi of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands, and other American and Ryukyuan leaders. They will also visit educational institutions and places of industrial, cultural and historical interest, including visits to Miyako and Yaeyama Islands. They will be guests of honor at luncheons and dinners hosted by the Golden Gate Club, Okinawa Junior Chamber of Commerce, Management Promotion Council of the Ryukyu Islands and local municipalities.

沖縄系米人4名からなるハワイ親善使節団の一行が米陸軍の琉球ハワイ親善計画により10日間の日程で沖縄を訪問中である。太平洋方面米陸軍司令部主催、琉球列島米民政府後援で、ハワイ沖縄の相互理解と親善を深める為に毎年実施されているもの。一行はハワイ州上院トクイチ沢岻書記官ホノルル日本商議所マサト神里副会頭、ハワイ沖縄県人会、カンホ・与那原前会長、マウナウイリー小学校 ツルコ・オーエ教諭の4氏。一行は滞在中、ジェームス・B・ランパート高等弁務官、ロバート・A・フィアリー民政官、屋良朝苗行政主席、星克立法院議長、その他琉米の関係者を訪問する。一行は又、教育施設及び産業、文化、歴史上の名所・旧跡、宮古、八重山郡等を訪れる。金門クラブ、沖縄青年会議所琉球経営振興会及び市町村主催の昼食会及び夕食会にゲストとして出席する。
