Four Ryukyuan judicial officials visit Civil Administrator Robert A. Fearey (3rd from R) Oct. 17 prior to their departure to the United States to study systems and operations of courts. The mission will visit municipal, state and federal courts and related judicial facilities in Washington D. C., New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and Honolulu for 24 days. Members of the mission meeting the Civil Administrator with LTC. Richard K. McNealy (R), director of USCAR's Legal Affairs Department, are (L-R): Kazuo Ohama, chief, Koza Branch, Naha District Prosecutors' Office; Toshisada Tengan, Associate Justice, High Court of the Ryukyus; Toshio Kishimoto, director of Government of the Ryukyus' Legal Affairs Dept.; and Mitsunobu Matsunaga, attorney-at-law.

米国の裁判所の気候と運営状況を視察する司法関係の国民指導員の一行は出発に先立ち17日にフィアリー民政官(右から2人目)を訪問した。一行はワシントンD・C、ニューヨーク、シカゴ、ロスアンゼルス、ホノルル等で地方、州、連邦政府の裁判所や関連機関を訪問する。民政府法務局のマクネリー局長(右)と共に民政官を訪問した一行は左より大浜和男那覇地方検察庁コザ支部長、天願俊貞高等裁判所判事、岸本利男法務局長、松永光信弁護士。
