was held April 7, at the Okinawa Post 9723, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Guest speaker, Civil Administrator Stanley S. Carpenter (R) greets L. A. Lagpacan, president of the Filipino-American Veterans Association, sponsors of the events. Mr. Carpenter told the 225 guests that "Here on Okinawa, your association is making a material contribution to the promotion of Philippine-American-Ryukyuan solidarity and friendship." He added, "may this friendship continue to grow and thrive."

4月7日、海外戦争復員兵協会沖縄、第9723支部にて第26回勇者の日記念宴会が開催された。 ゲスト講演者のスタンリー・S・カーペンター民政官が、このイベントのスポンサーであるフィリピン系アメリカ人退役軍人協会の会長であるL・ A・ ラグパカン氏に挨拶。 カーペンター氏は225人の来賓に対し「ここ沖縄では、貴協会がフィリピン、アメリカ、琉球間の連帯と友好の促進に重要な貢献をしている」と述べた。 彼は、「この友情が、増加し、繁栄し続けるように」と付け加えた。
