Journey (3rd from L), members of Coral Lodge No. 142, Free & Accepted Masons, are shown presenting scholarships to two students of the Central Technical High School in Koza, May 13. Shown in the photo are (L-R): Robert W. Baker, Academic and Vocational Division, Education Dept., U.S. Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands; Mr. Johns; Mr. Journey; Yasuhide Nakahara, business manager of the school; and Koichi Miyahira and Seiko Takemoto, both scholarship winners. Members of the lodge, headed by Worshipful Master Robert P. O'Brien, presented scholarships on the same day to 13 other Ryukyuan students from the Okinawa Fisheries High School, the Okinawa Technical High School, and the Central and Naha commercial high schools.
