“LEARN BEFORE YOU LEAP” advised Civil Administrator Robert A. Fearey at the graduation ceremony for the Class of 1970, Kubasaki American High School, May 28. The ceremony was held at the Stillwell Field House in Sukiran. Minister Fearey told the 395 graduates, “There is a vast amount of talent, energy, common sense and sound moral conviction in America. Happily, a great part of this is centered in our youth, which will be assuming a steadily larger measure of responsibility for America's future. I am convinced that step by step we will overcome our difficulties and capitalize on the unprecedented opportunities for human improvement that science is revealing.”

5月28日、久場崎米人高校1970年度卒業式にて、「跳ぶ前に学べ」とアドバイスを贈ったのはロバート・A・フィアリー民政官。式は瑞慶覧のスティルウェルフィールドハウスで行われた。フィアリー民政官は、395名の卒業生に対し、「アメリカには膨大な量の才能、エネルギー、常識、健全な道徳的信念があります。幸いなことに、その大部分は私たちの若者たちの中にあり、彼らはアメリカの未来に向けて着実に大きな責任を負うことになるでしょう。私は、一歩一歩、困難を克服し、科学が解き明かす人間力向上のチャンスを生かすことを確信しています」と述べた。
