HIGH COMMISSIONER'S TROPHY TO KOGYO HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER TEAM -- A trophy from High Commissioner Paul W. Caraway was awarded to the Kogyo High School Soccer Team, champion in the third annual Ryukyuan American High School Friendship Soccer League, on Dec. 22 at the Sukiran Soccer Field. Presenting the trophy to Kunio Kinjo (L), captain of the Kogyo team, is Brig. Gen. Ellis W. Williamson (C), commanding general, 173rd Airborne Brigade, who acted as honorary sponsor of this year's league. Participating schools in the league were Maehara, Kogyo, Shogyo, Naha, Oroku, Suisan, Nanno and Kubasaki high schools. The Kogyo team's score was seven wins and two ties in the round-robin tournament. At right is Tsuyoshi Sokei, president, Kogyo High School.

高等弁務官杯は工業高校サッカーチームへ - 瑞慶覧サッカー場で12月22日、第3回琉米高校親善サッカーリーグで優勝した工業高校サッカーチームに、ポール・W・キャラウェイ高等弁務官からの優勝杯が贈られた。工業チームのキャプテン、キンジョウ・クニオ（左）に優勝杯を手渡すのは、今年のリーグ名誉スポンサーの第173空挺旅団司令官エリス・W・ウィリアムソン准将（中央）。リーグに参加したのは前原、工業、商業、那覇、小禄、水産、南農そしてクバサキ・ハイスクールの各校。工業高校は総当たり戦で7勝2引き分けの成績を収めた。右は工業高校のソケイ・ツヨシ校長。
