THREE PROMINENT AMWRICAN EDUCATORS MEET CHIEF EXECUTIVE -- Mr. James R. McDonough (L), executive secretary of the Hawaii Education Association, Dr. George M. Brooke, Jr. (2nd from L), a Fulbright research professor at Keio University in Tokyo, and Dr. Hubert V. Everly (3rd from L), dean of the College of Education, University of Hawaii and president of the Hawaii Education Association (HEA), visited Chief Executive Seisaku Ota of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands on Wednesday, May 22. Dr. Everly and Mr. McDonough arrived on Okinawa on May 21 for a ten-day visit here, during which period the Hawaiian educators will tour public schools on Okinawa and consult with Ryukyuan and American education officials on the educational system in the Ryukyus. Dr. Brooke will discuss "Excerpts from the Journal of Lt. John M. Brooke's (U.S. Navy) Visit to Ryukyus, at the Ryukyu Studies Forum on May 25, among his other activities. Dr. Brooke arrived here for a one-week visit on Tuesday, May 21.
