Ruth and Beth Combs are old friends, They met in La Grande, Oregon, when Ruth was five minutes old and they immediately started vocalizing. After closing out this first series of disconcerting concerts, the twins confined most of their vocal vitality to homo until, progressing from howling to harmonics, they blossomed out as two thirds of a high school trio which was named the best in Oregon and sang on Spokane and Seattle TV stations. Not content with just singing, the twins also play string bass, cello, percussion, piano, violin, and viola. Ruth was a high school and college cheerleader, and Beth was queen of everything from basketball and snow to homecoming at Eastern Oregon College before transfering [transferring?]to Brigham Young University. B.Y.U's "Curtain Time USA" show is touring the Pacific during June and July. The outstanding musical comedy group will perform at the Okinawa Times Hall at 7 p.m. on July 20.
