Map of the 63-kilometer route of the XIth Olympic Winter Games torch relay which will take place on Okinawa during the period Thursday, Dec. 30 and Saturday, Jan 1. Map shows the route originating at the Naha Civil Air Terminal, and proceeding to Onoyama Baseball Stadium, then along Highway 44 eastward to Yonabaru, then north along Highway 13 to Koza, turning south along Highway 5, past Kubasaki High School and Headquarters USARYIS, to Futenma, continuing along Highway5 to Shuri, then down to the Asato intersection to Kokusai Street, to the Okinawa Times corner and south along Highway 1, and back to the Onoyama baseball Stadium. The relay is to start upon arrival of the Olympic lamp at 7:40 p.m., Dec. 30, Naha Civil Air Terminal, and proceed to Onoyama Baseball Stadium where a welcoming ceremony will be held. Next morning, the full relay will begin from Onoyama at 9 a.m., and conclude there at 3:30 p.m. On Jan. l, the torch will be taken from Onoyama at 9:07 a.m. back to the Air Terminal for onward flight to Tokyo a.t 9:50 a.m.

12月30日(木)から1月1日(土)に沖縄で行われる「第11回オリンピック冬季大会」の聖火リレー63kmのコースは、那覇民間航空ターミナルを出発し、奥武山球場、44号線を東へ進んで与那原へ向かい、13号線を北上してコザに至り、5号線を南下して久場崎高校、琉球列島米国陸軍司令部を過ぎて普天間、さらに5号線を進んで首里、安里交差点から国際通りへ入り、沖縄タイムスの角を曲がって1号線を南下して奥武山球場に戻る。リレーは12月30日午後7時40分、那覇民間航空ターミナルにオリンピックランプが到着すると同時にスタートし、奥武山球場で歓迎式典が行われる。翌朝は午前9時に奥武山をスタートし、午後3時30分に同地点で終了する。翌1月1日の午前9時7分には聖火は奥武山から那覇民間航空ターミナルに運ばれ、午前9時50分の航空便で東京へ向かう。
