NHK SYMPHONY -- The Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) Local Representative Sadamasa Hirabe (L) and Maj. Douglas Marshall, USARYIS Special Services Officer (R), sign the contract for a concert by the world-renowned NHK Symphony on Okinawa on February 16. Witnessing the contract are (L-R, standing): Mr. John E. Donnelly, deputy director, Office of Public Affairs, Office of the High Commissioner; Lt. Ronald N. Walker, project officer for the NHK concert; and Col. William R. Reilly, Information Coordinator to the High Commissioner. The concert will be conducted by NHK under the auspices of the Office of the High Commissioner in the Stilwell Fieldhouse as a charity concert with all proceeds for the performance to be donated to the Okinawa Recreation and Welfare Association.
【和訳】NHK交響楽団 - 2月16日に沖縄で開催される世界的に有名なNHK交響楽団の演奏会の契約書に署名する日本放送協会（NHK）のヒラベ・サダマサ沖縄駐在員（左）と琉球列島米陸軍特務官ダグラス・マーシャル（右）。契約に立ち会うのは（左から、立っている） 高等弁務官室広報局次長ジョン・E・ドネリー、同演奏会担当官ロナルド・N・ウォーカー、高等弁務官室情報調整官ウィリアム・R・レイリー。この演奏会は高等弁務官室の後援で、NHKがスティルウェル・フィールドハウスでチャリティーコンサートとして行うもので、その収益はすべて沖縄沖縄娯楽福祉協会に寄付される。
