The Polynesian All-Star Revue from Hawaii will give a performance at the Naha Cultural Center on Mar. 1, it was announced today. The show, composed of Hawaiian signers and dancers, features the primitive dances of the South Pacific Islands, including the fire rites of Samoa, the sword dance of Tahiti and the hula dances of Hawaii. The revue opens with a hula number by Kulei Honda, Leialoha Watson, Leialoha Smith, Cissy Fernandez and Katherine Tandal, backed by signers Dorothy Kalima and Diane Logan. The mistress of ceremony is Rose Lane and the male performer who does the Tahitian sword dance is John Zablan. The revue was brought to Okinawa by the U.S. Army Ryukyu Islands Special Services entertainment section.
