RYUKYUAN SPECIALISTS TO STUDY IN U.S.Shown discussing labor statistics of developing countries are (L-R): Carleton H. Faler, director, Labor Dept., U.S. [Civil?] Administration of the Ryukyu Islands (USCAR); and Kenji Ikemura, chief, and Takafumi Oshima, labor economy specialist, both of the Labor Economy Research and Survey Section, Labor Dept., Government of the Ryukyu Islands (GRI). The two GRI labor specialists are scheduled to depart for the U.S. today (Sept. 15) for a nine month's study of American labor statistics planning. This study program, designed to train GRI labor personnel and improve the quality of labor statistics techniques in the Ryukyu Islands, was arranged by the U.S. Dept. of Health, Education, and Welfare, and will be administered by the U.S. Dept. of Labor. All expenses for the trainees will be paid by USACAR. 【和訳】 発展途上国の労働統計を議論するのは、左から、琉球列島米国民政府労働局長のカールトン・H・フェイラー氏、イケムラ・ケンジ部長及び労働経済専門のオオシマ・タカフミ氏 (両氏とも琉球政府労働局労働調査課)。琉球政府の労務専門官2名は9月15日より9か月間のアメリカ労働統計計画の研究のため米国へ発つ予定。この研究計画は琉球政府労働局職員の労働統計分析の技術育成を図ったもので、米国保健教育福祉省が手配し、米国労働省が実施する。研修生の費用はすべて米民政府が負担する。 【分類】Labor / 労働
